** About the Tours **
Wearing waterproof waders, we wade out into the water, and sit at our semi submerged tour deck 'The Salt Water Pavilion' which is located right in a working commercial Oyster farm. While your feet dangle in the water and the salty breeze blows through your hair, you’ll hear from the Oyster Farmer himself (Ben) about how oysters grow, a bit of history of Coffin Bay and Matthew Flinders as well as learn about Oyster farming practices. It is a little bit educational, and a lot of light hearted fun, AND you’ll learn a new skill. We will give you a hands-on shucking lesson, so you can learn to open oysters yourself like a pro, and best of all you get to taste the freshest and most famous Coffin Bay Oysters you’ve ever tasted, straight out of the water! A very unique culinary experience and an epicurean adventure!
Choose your own adventure.....select from the options list to create your own tailored and memorable experience by adding a bottle of Sparkling, Riesling, Bloody Mary Oyster Shots, and/or Extra Oysters, all to be enjoyed in the water as part of the tour. And for the ultimate seafood indulgence, pre-book a Seafood Platter to enjoy after the tour at Oyster HQ overlooking our pristine waters of Coffin Bay!
Tours run all year round, and are 1.5 hours in length, As there is limited seating, the tours do book out, so bookings are essential. It is best to wear comfortable fitted clothing, as you will put waterproof waders on over the top. The waders have in-built boots, so just bring a pair of socks to wear, and dress for the weather, ie if it’s cool bring a jacket, if it’s warm bring a hat, and you’re welcome to bring a water bottle. In winter, a beanie and scarf is a good idea.

Oyster Farm & Tasting Tour $50pp

It’s a bit of a ‘choose your own adventure’ where you can select from a list of options to tailor the experience you’d like to create to make it a memorable experience for you. Select a bottle of Moet or Bird in Hand Sparkling, a Bloody Mary oyster shot, a bottle of Riesling, whatever you like! Experience the ultimate seafood indulgence, by pre-booking a seafood platter (additional $65 per person) to be enjoyed after the tour at Oyster HQ.
Oyster Farm & Tasting Tour with Transport from Port Lincoln $110pp
This tour and price include a pick up at your Port Lincoln accommodation, and return transfers to Coffin Bay to enjoy the Oyster Farm & Tasting Tour in our beautiful pristine waters. This tour is a 4hour experience including travel time from Port Lincoln, 1.5 hour Oyster Farm & Tasting Tour and about an hour free time after the tour to enjoy lunch at Oyster HQ after the tour, or a scenic stroll on the Oyster Walk Trail along the foreshore. When booking the tour, you can select from a list of options to tailor the experience you’d like to create to make it a memorable experience for you. Select a bottle of Moet or Bird in Hand Sparkling, a Bloody Mary oyster shot, a bottle of Riesling, whatever you like! Transport charge is a minimum charge of 2 people $100, and can be arranged for 1 person.
Sparkle & Splash Oyster Tasting Experience $65pp (Run through holiday periods only)
Start your day with some SPARKLE! Enjoy an Oyster Farm tasting experience like no other.....A glass of Adelaide Hills Sparkling and 1/2 dozen oysters, an epicurean adventure! This tour is usually a morning tour, when the water is at it’s calmest, and most peaceful. This tour is available through the peak holiday periods.

Bookings
Bookings are essential as tour seating is limited. Please book the total number of seats you require, including children when you make your booking.
Children & Infants
We welcome children & infants on the tour, although we leave it to the parents to make a decision about whether you think your child will be attentive/ interested throughout the 1.5 hour tour in the water. Please remember this is a group tour and we like to try and create a memorable experience for everyone on the tour. Children are charged at the standard rate, as most kids are curious about wanting to taste/ try an oyster, and also participate in the hands-on shucking lesson.
